Framing

Unless otherwise directed my paintings are only framed by me if they are on board. I like to leave them unframed on canvas as they are generally bigger pieces and I often find that the client doesn't want to frame them as it feels unnecessary and they want a slightly more contemporary feel. I always use Russell and Chapple stretchers and then present my box canvases with a very clean white edge. If however you would like to frame them then that is totally up to you and I can put you in touch with a very reliable framer who can guide you through the process and advise what would look best.

So all paintings on board are framed.... they are float mounted with a 6cm margin on an 'All White' back board and then surrounded with a flat frame 4.5cm in width painted with 'Strong White'. The frames are made by my framer and then primed and painted by me and I use Farrow and Ball paint.
